I did something wrong in , maybe somebody knows how to fix it. I have a setup with speakers plugged in to the machine HAOS is running on, and a setup to play internet radio via those speakers. I also have those same speakers use text to speech for announcements and reminders. Both functions use VLC. Suddenly, any time it plays a text to speech, after it speaks, it plays whatever internet radio I had last been listening to. I switched from just play/pause to actual stop, no change.

This is driving me batty, so thank you in advance for whomever leads me to a fix.

@hellomiakoda I don't use vlc in #homeassistant myself. But to me it seems like your audio is being added to a queue..

@comradegc
Yes. Not deliberately though.

@hellomiakoda how is VLC integrated for both features?

@komish
Both the TTS function and the media playback functions ask me for a device or entity. So, VLC-Telnet is selected.
Results are the same I'd I pick it as a device, or an entity, or if I pick differently between the two functions

@hellomiakoda are you able to pass VLC flags? Assuming you have a playlist (which, it’s unclear, I’d imagine, if that’s what’s happening), perhaps —no-enqueue-playlist or something that explicitly prevents playlist queuing at call time?
