Hello pdx.social users, there's a fork of Mastodon called Hometown (github.com/hometown-fork/homet) that adds local-only posts. I'm considering switching pdx.social over to it. How do people feel about that?

The server is going down for a few minutes while I upgrade it to 2.9.2.

The server is experiencing some serious issues with its storage. Things may be bumpy for awhile.

I'll be upgrading the server to 2.8.2 shortly.

I need to make a configuration change to the servers that will likely cause a few minutes of downtime. Apologies!

The migration is complete. Please reach out if you notice any weirdness.

I'm migrating pdx.social to a pair of load-banaced web front-ends today. Downtime should be minimal.

🚨 There will be about 30 minutes of downtime this afternoon for a hardware upgrade.

I'm going to take the server down for a bit to upgrade and vacuum the database.

I just upgraded the server to 2.6.1 which fixes a few bugs from the 2.6.0 release. There are some nice new features

🚨 I'm going to rebuild our server VM on Ubuntu 18.04 today. There may be some downtime. 🚨

Apologies if your mobile client is suddenly dumping old notifications on you. The server's push notifications were not configured properly and so the queue is slowly emptying.

Well that wasn't so bad. The 2.5.0 update is complete. You can see the complete list of changes here

github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/

OK for real this time. I'm going to start the 2.5.0 update.

Correction: I'm going to wait to do the 2.5.0 update until tomorrow. In case I run into problems, I don't want to be up all night debugging.

Sorry for the false alarm.
