@courtney hello again! And Franklin's an exceptional kitty.

@FeloniousPunk What a sweetie! He looks like an older guy?

@courtney Yeah he’s 12 but very full of love and very chill. We’re good for each other, lol

@courtney Farewell. I’m guessing the Texas hostility to trans made you move? If so, that’s sad. You’re a good person and good community advocate.

@ttrentham Thanks! We moved back in Sept. It was a combination of the worsening summers and worsening politics. There's a lot I'll miss about Austin, but loving it here. Let me know if you ever make it up to Portland.

@courtney Franklin is a very handsome cat! 🐱

@courtney Welcome! I hope you like it here as I do.

@courtney

Welcome to PDX, I'm a #StreetRoots vendor in St John's 😁

I also build websites at #MPAQ

@courtney Welcome, Courtney, to #Oregon, #PDX and the gorgeous #PNW. I am in Portlandia a few times each year, short drive from down here in #Eugene.

Lots to love about the PDX. I am assuming the vibe you are finding is more akin to Austin, lots of creative people, very few Red Hat sightings, great pizza (if you can handle the price, Grrr). I could not live there with a car, traffic is crazy and parking is like ThunderDome.

You picked the perfect time of year to start your PNW experience.

@Av8rdan Thanks! I arrived last Sept so I've experienced half the annual cycle so far. I'm loving it, even the gray and rainy times.

@courtney We really do have some great WX here compared to most of the country. Yes, rainy at times, gray and 1 or 2 nasty snow/ice storm a year, but no hurricanes, wildfires (on the west side of the Cascades), massive floods or tornadoes.
