I've known claw machines have varying power sent to the claws, but being able to program in target revenue? Ridiculous.

The Halo show is real bad.

I've played a handful of the Halo games and enjoyed them. I would probably would have been happy if it was just six episodes of Master Chief driving a Warthog through different settings. But this show is real bad.

There's never been a better time for a Spaceballs: The Quest for More Money.

It should be themed as the seventeenth streaming spin-off of Spaceballs on Brooks+, initially completely dedicated to a background character nobody cares about.

This is something I always sort of wondered about but my brain just stopped at "oh, some people are puppeteering it." It's great to see this sort of behind-the-scenes wizardry.

You're probably thinking "But, being a mermaid wouldn't be a curse!".

Maybe. But just imagine, giving up you life and everything you know to live in the sea. Where sharks are. And cooked food isn't.

I think being a mermaid would be harder than people think.

There's a weird amount of "Moon Knight almost had a reference to _____" stories. I can think of three separate ones I've read in the last week.

I don't feel like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had enough multiverse or enough madness

Doctor Strange 2 Spoilers

Perhaps I set the "weirdness" bar too high, but as a zombie Dr. Strange with a half-eaten face glided down on a cape made of demons I thought to myself "I wish this movie would get weirder."

Sliding back into Mastodon for a bit. Got hit with New Twitter and seriously thought my browser was loading a mobile site. I know there's usually uproar around UI revamps, but honestly what were they thinking?

Either Twitter doesn't understand how people use it, or with mass adoption that use has changed for the majority of users.

I think it would be great to have text-focused tweets with minimal images in chronological feeds. And I guess that's why I fired up Mastodon again :)

I feel like CG effects and animation has opened up an unfortunate pandora's box. When the sky is the limit, it stifle's a unique kind of innovation. It keeps people from being scrappy and inventive and encourages just throwing "more" at eyeballs. You want a 100' tall Christmas tree with giant hand-made ornaments? You got it! You want a three-tiered city connected with toboggan runs? You got it! You want giant expanding shoes to walk from roof to roof? You got it!

I saw the new Grinch. It had a couple bright spots (Kenan Thompson's character, the story epilogue, the general look and feel), but wasn't great overall.

Serious and important plea: any US people here who have ordered medications from Canada, online or by mail/in person? Any pharmacies or resources to recommend? (I'd appreciate replies limited to helpful advice—thanks!)

Well Twitter ruined RealTwitter.com. Again, I've not seen a website or service that seems to be working so hard to undermine what initially made it great.

Interested in hearing more about the Oculus Quest. I'm curious to see what ported Rift experiences end up like once they're optimized for a less powerful headset.
